Ashton Lewis SYP Flooring Description Ashton Lewis Southern Yellow Pine Flooring is precision milled with a Weinig moulder to an architectural quality. Many of our customers will not buy any SYP flooring but ours because they have come to appreciate the consistency of our drying and millwork. They have discovered the "Ashton Lewis Edge". Patterns We produce both a tongue and groove Hollowback and Tongue and Groove Kerfback flooring in all sizes. See the profiles to the right. We are also able to produce custom patterns at the customer's request. Sizes and Lengths 1x3 1x4 1x5 1x6 1x8 1x10 1x12 5/4x3 5/4x3-1/2 5/4x4 Available in 6' to 16' lengths - lengths may be specified by order Grades Solid Ceiling and Paneling kiln dried to 10%-12% moisture C & Better with mixed grain - choice quality practically clear of all defects; C & Better with Vertical Grain - clear with grain at least 45 degrees vertical - tight grain patterns with a minimum of 8 rings per inch; D & Better - Practically clear with small knots (under 3/4 ") permitted if surface is smooth. Heart content is allowed; #2 - knots and other defects allowed which do not effect the structural quality of the pattern - often used in rustic or country applications; Why real wood floors?
